Freswick Castle is a spectacular and romantic setting for a wedding. A thousand years of history, an ancient tower house on a beach, a beautiful walled garden for marquees... the photo opportunities are endless and, over the years, we have had weddings from 6 people to 150 on this amazing site.
GUESTS AND ACCOMODATION
Most weddings involve an exclusive booking of the Castle from Friday to Sunday, which offers luxury accommodation for a bridal party of up to 12 people.
Locations for the wedding service range from the Viking Hall (40 guests), The Main Hall (70 guests) or a marquee in the Castle garden for up to 150 guests.
Locations for banquets range from the dining room (20 guests), the Main Hall (40 guests) or a marquee in the garden for numbers up to 100 or more.
AN INSPIRING AND ROMANTIC LOCATION
Freswick Castle is an inspiring location - and the venue is hired as a space for accommodation, ceremony, banquets and dancing. Catering needs to be hired separately and The Norseman Hotel in Wick has been an experienced and outstanding partner for high-class wedding and event catering at the Castle. Mackays Hotel in Wick and other catering companies have also provided excellent catering.
North of Scotland Marquees is familiar with the Freswick Castle site and has provided excellent marquees for wedding services, catering and all facilities.
On occasion, the Castle has been booked as a single day booking for a wedding ceremony, with all catering and celebration happening elsewhere. We are open to such bookings, but the best experience of Freswick Castle is when service, banquet and celebration all happen in one glorious setting!
